Copyright & Licensing Policy
The Journal of the Ethiopian Society of Chemical Engineering (JESChE) recognizes and respects the intellectual property rights of authors. The journal supports responsible sharing of scientific knowledge while ensuring that authors receive appropriate recognition for their research contributions.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright of their original research articles published in JESChE. The authors maintain ownership of their intellectual work while granting the journal the necessary rights to publish, distribute, archive, and promote the article.
The journal does not acquire exclusive ownership of published articles unless a separate agreement is signed between the authors and the journal.
2. License to Publish
By submitting a manuscript to JESChE, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to:

- Distribute and make the article publicly available.
- Assign metadata and register digital identifiers such as DOI where applicable.
- Archive and preserve the article in digital repositories.

All articles published in JESChE are distributed under a Creative Commons license to support open access and responsible reuse of scholarly content.

Under this license, users may:

4. Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

- All contributors who qualify for authorship have been properly acknowledged.
- Necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted materials.
8. Corrections, Retractions, and Copyright
If a published article requires correction or retraction due to errors, misconduct, or ethical concerns, the journal will follow appropriate scholarly publishing procedures while maintaining the integrity of the academic record.
9. License Information Display
The copyright statement, licensing information, and reuse conditions will be displayed clearly on each published article page and associated publication files.
